topkatz
Hello, I'm using JS-ce 3.7 and iReport 3.7. I have a report built using a subreport, and everything looks good in ireport. I have the report instaleld on jasperserver, and it runs as expected, however on the html view (the default view) it is missing some fields and the subreport apears to overflow off the page. Like it is not honoring its parents margins. If I view the pdf output from jasperserver it looks as it should. Is there somehting Im missing here? Im uploading three screen shots to show the discrepency. Maybe some one has experience with this and can shed some light on this for me.1 - report in iReporthttp://img62.imageshack.us/img62/9632/screenshot1bx.png2 - report in jasperserver default viewhttp://img203.imageshack.us/img203/1061/screenshot2r.png3 - jasperserver pdf outputhttp://img203.imageshack.us/img203/6466/screenshot3q.png BTW: the subreport has 0 margins and is set in portrait. I also have set the "size" to "adapt to parent"Post Edited by topkatz at 02/01/2010 13:05Post Edited by topkatz at 02/01/2010 13:05Post Edited by topkatz at 02/01/2010 13:06Post Edited by topkatz at 02/01/2010 13:
topkatz
I think this holds the answer for me: http://jasperforge.org//uploads/publish/jasperreportswebsite/trunk/faq.html#FAQ9 I have some over laping of fields going on. Ill clean those up and see how it goes.EDIT: that was it. Should have read the FAQ first before posting. Maybe someone else will find this useful. baggypants
From version 3.6.0 JasperReports (the core report engine for jasperserver) has had a fully functional state-of-the-art XHTML exporter which resolves the overlapping items issue. Quite prudently the developers decided not to make it the default output for JasperServer 3.7. Yet unfortunately the developers left out a simple way of enabling it.You can add your vote for this issue to the tracker here, maybe it will be included in a later version.http://jasperforge.org/projects/jasperserver/tracker/view.php?id=4433Post Edited by baggypants at 02/01/2010 23:
