stocktrader
Hello, I have a question about the installation on Windows 2008 R2 x64 English:I installed JRE 6 Update 16 64-bit edition and then I tried to install iReport 3.6.0: it was complaining that was unable to find the JRE.So I installed the 32-bit version of it an now all is working fine.Is iReport unable to use the 64 bit version of the JRE? Only to know :)Kind regards,StockTrader
carminez
I had this similar issue with Windows 7 and JDK 1.5 64 bit. First the JDK didn't add the JAVA_HOME environment variable to windows and to the path. But then after that only one of the versions of iReport I used worked, I needed different versions for different environments that were using different distributions of JasperReports. The short answer is that in addition to the ireport.exe there is an ireport_w.exe. If you run ireport_w.exe /? at a command prompt, it tells you there is a --jdkhome option you can pass the path to your JDK. That allowed it to work properly.
