Passing a collection to a pipe line function

I need to pass a collection (java.util.collection) to an Oracle pipe lined function but when I try to pass it, iReports throws this error 'it.businesslogic.ireport.gui.logpane.ProblemItem@2ee59 Parameter type not supported in query : DRIVER_LIST class java.util.Collection  /jasperReport/queryString[1]'.

Please let me know if there any way that I can pass a collection parameter to an Oracle function?  Thank you.
