2001 JI Open Discussion
By: dyarbrough - dyarbrough ASCII Print/Export has been TODO for 2 yrs... 2004-11-22 13:09I've been pouring over these forums and documentation and have yet to find a way to print/export ASCII only. I have seen acknowledgments that it is a TODO over and over and a nebulous "Alex Parfenov did a good job in this direction by creating such a printer class" and that's about all (it's not even listed in the Feature Requests section). Is there a way to do this in the current release? Where can I find Mr. Parfenov's printer? I am at the verge of dropping Jasper from my project if I cannot find a route to support unmarked-up output. There is a text exporter. https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=2553492 By: dyarbrough - dyarbrough RE: ASCII Print/Export has been TODO for 2 yrs... 2004-11-22 16:29Ah thanks for the enlightenment. I was actually using an older build of IReport. I'll get the latest and see what I can do. Again many thanks. I have to design my jrxml in a special way (all coord. should divide on 10) to get proper result in text view. That means that I have to redesign my previous reports... And in some cases jrxml with all coords that divids on 10 can't foolfill my needs... That is why I'll be very grateful if text export ability will be finally added to jasperreports...
