Unique Report UUID from Template

I created a report in Jaspersoft Studio and exported it as a report template. When I create a new Jasper Report, the template I just created appears in the wizard in the Report Templates list. However, every new report I create from that template has the same JasperReport UUID property.

As a test, I created a new report from the Report Template for blank letter. I created several more new reports from the blank letter template, and each one has a unique UUID. However, if I export one of these blank reports as a template, every report I create from that new template is getting the same UUID as the original report.

Any idea as to why reports created from my custom template aren't getting a unique UUID?
