Hiding/displaying the column1, column2 and column3 columns based on feature and permission on the jasper reports

Suppose we have a jasper report with multiple columns and we have to hide column1 ,column2 and column3 but hiding of any column affect the integrity of the layout ,I want to know can we dynamically change width of the columns if one of the columns hide .

The table element would do the trick for you.

If one of the column is hidden, then the table element will dynamically move the next column towards left retaining the report layout.

Dynamically changing the column width is not possible on jasper reports.(let me know if you could find a way, I have a requirementhttp://community.jaspersoft.com/sites/all/libraries/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/regular_smile.gif)
