Version 6.2.1 Output to Host File system option not working

Recommended Posts

We recently upgraded from Jasper 5.6.1 to 6.2.1

We are not able to enable --- Output to Host File System option which used to work in 5.6.1

Even after doing this as suggested in Jasper documents it is not working.

Can you please let me know... if anything changed in this front in 6.2.1

.../WEB-INF/applicationContext.xml

enableSaveToHostFS

Set the value from "false" (the default) to "true".

Also uncommented the code in these files:

./webapps/reportservice/optimized-scripts/bower_components/jrs-ui/src/scheduler/template/editor/outputTabTemplate.htm

./webapps/reportservice/scripts/bower_components/jrs-ui/src/scheduler/template/editor/outputTabTemplate.htm

Any help is appreciated!

I've also recently setup an instance of TIBCO Jaspersoft for AWS with Multi-Tenancy and changed the .../WEB-INF/applicationContext.xml enableSaveToHostFS to TRUE.

I've restarted tomcat, even restarted the servers involved and yet the web ui still shows the Output To File System option as greyed out.

I eventually found that the AWS auto scale group had created and made active a second server so I updated each of these files:

/var/lib/tomcat7/webapps/jasperserver-pro/WEB-INF/applicationContext.xml

/usr/share/jrs_dist/jasperreports-server-bin/buildomatic/conf_source/iePro/applicationContext.xml

/usr/share/jrs_dist/clusterConfig/applicationContext.xml

I then restarted tomcat and everything worked!!!

next problem is "Enter a valid path." but this seems to be a permissions thing.
