Problems with dynamic page length

Have a problem with JasperReports printing on receipt printer:

The main report contains some sub-reports, 2 of them in the Summary band. The sub-reports have their Print In First Whole Band attributes unchecked. All reports (main and subs) have their Ignore Pagination  attributes checked in and a Page Height of 8888 px set.

When the page length is in a given range, some parts from the end of the page are omitted.

I am using JasperPerports 6.3.0, with a Sam4S GIANT-100 printer.

For testing purposes printed the same receipt with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 items, and with 1 and 2 items the last line were cut off. With 3 or more items, the last line is showing.

Something can be observed on XPS printouts, too: There seems to be a large footer margin, and it is reduced on those printouts the clipping occurs.

And I am still not sure, whether it is caused by JasperReports, or by the printer

A non-final workaround is being developed as: exporting to an image, and printing that image.
